Digital Construction

Digital Construction

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is mainly for people who like to solve complex problems, use computers and work with a team.

BIM is about creating and managing information about a project throughout its construction. The result of the work is a complete digital model of the project for all of those involved. That allows them to update and improve at different stages of project implementation.

Building Information Modelling involves using a wide range of software technology through Computer Aided Design (CAD). That is why a thorough understanding of the technologies is required, including cloud computing, IT systems, and software, as well as well knowledge of international standards and industry terminology.

The important thing is, that the process is highly collaborative. BIM allows everyone from engineers and architects to contractors to work better as a team, and create buildings better suited for their purpose and with a longer lifespan.
