Autobody Repair
Autobody Repair
Car body repairs are most often necessary after accidents or bumps and other traffic incidents. The workshop's task is to restore the vehicle to its pre-accident condition - both visually and in terms of use. This is all the more difficult because there are very strict legal requirements for the safety and technical performance of road vehicles.
The mechanic must be prepared to deal with all sorts of repairs: from minor damage caused, for example, by running into an obstacle, to multi-vehicle damage after a major accident. As such, he or she must be able to handle a variety of often highly advanced diagnostic systems and tools and be familiar with all kinds of metals, composites and plastics used in bodywork. He or she must also be well-acquainted with the operation of all the vehicle's systems so that, after repairs, the vehicle is operational and, above all, safe for users.
