Truck and Bus Technology

Truck and Bus Technology

The basis for the logistics and availability of the products is their transport, based among other things on truck transport. Trucks require regular maintenance and repair. Efficient rectification of faults and breakdowns in the truck fleet keeps deliveries regular and logistics centres operational.

Maintenance and repair involve individual components, but also entire systems. This requires the mechanic to be skilled in handling engines, hydraulics, braking systems, increasingly sophisticated electronics and much more.

The mechanic must also skilfully use a wide range of different types of tools to diagnose faults, test systems and adjust, repair or replace parts. His activities must comply with manufacturers' specifications and statutory requirements. The mechanic also concludes existing repair reports, which are helpful for similar faults. The result of his actions is the restoration of the efficiency of all systems and the minimisation of the risk of repeated failures.
